These songs are about a war. Most of us don’t realize this war is going on. It is the war between Consumer Power and Corporate Power. The corporations are winning. The weapons aren’t bullets and bombs, but money. We think we are winning this war because we get to buy all this cool stuff anytime we want, but there is a hidden cost: animal rights abuse, human rights abuse, and the destruction of our environment.

Corporations spin us lies and we believe them. So we don’t fight back. Instead, we work for them, and then give them back that hard earned money. The Corporations profit twice, and the earth and it’s inhabitants suffer a little bit more.
Every time we spend money we are voting for our future, and our children’s future. Choose wisely.

Clint's two passions come together - music and ethical consumerism

ABOUT THE SONGS

Your Dollar is Your Vote was inspired by a hand-written T-shirt slogan spotted by Clint at the s11 protests at the World Economic Forum in Melbourne, September 11, 2000. This planted a seed which has now grown into the Sustainable Living Directory project - an online ethical consumer guide. The song, and the project, explain how every time we spend money we are effectively voting for which companies we want to see around in the future. Are you voting for companies involved in animal testing? Or slave labour? Or pollution? Or making weapons? If you don't know but do care, check out www.slf.org.au/directory
Hemp Revolution was inspired by the documentary of the same name. It is about the many uses of hemp, and how it came to be illegal in the 1930's. Rockin' guitars and sobering lyrics capture the indignation of this tragedy of justice.
Mr Corporation was inspired by the documentary "The Corporation". The song tells a story of a company as it grows from a small business into an uncontrollable monster, with an uplifting twist at the end.
HippyCrit is a remix of a song from our stand-up comedy days. An hilarious take on how hard it is to be an ethical hippy in today's world. Parental guidance recommended.
